Hatha

Hatha yoga blends many different styles of yoga together. ‘Ha’ represents the sun and ‘tha’ the moon. As we move through asanas (postures), breath work and meditation our goal is to find balance in body, mind and spirit. It is slower than vinyasa or ashtanga allowing for more focus on alignment as well as strengthening and lengthening of muscles.

Vinyasa – Power flow

Vinyasa is a dynamic style of yoga that involves moving directly from one pose to the next in a flowing sequence while coordinating with breath. Almost dance-link, this joyful style is great for cardiovascular health, muscle strengthening and increasing flexibility of body and mind.

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a deeply restorative practice that focuses on long held floor postures, often with the assistance of props like blocks, cushions and bolsters. Holds may range anywhere from 3-7 minutes at a time. This allows the practitioner to soften deeply into the connective tissue surrounding the muscles, which can aid in the release of chronic pain. In yin we aim to reach a meditative state in our postures, while allowing the body to melt into the shape.

All styles can be easily adjusted to suit all fitness levels and physical restrictions.
